alibullock.com I have worked on many sites over the last 15 years, from the professional ones such as BP.com, KPMG.com, samsung.com, Motorola.com and Kelloggs.com to the personal ones, starting off with a little known site, sixblocksdowntown.com through to alib.co.uk and then alibullock.com. Looking back its amazing to think that in 1994/5 I would be doing in 2009 a full time online job. I am very very lucky but can't seem to stop building things online. The latest site animalsinphotos.com is a showcase site to promote my company animals in photos ltd. This all started out as a way to learn html and from some very basic beginnings to more structured sites such as alib.co.uk (in 1997) to alibullock.com (present) this journey has been a nothing short of a blast with so many lessons learnt along the way. Books may have started me reading, but the internet opened up to a whole new world to me that traditional publishing could never meet, especially on the subject of sharks... Having dyslexia can do one of two things; It can make you feel like a victim, or it means you will try and read every book out there and push what you have. I am lucky, I do the second, I read as much as I can and I have a creative eye. That, in my opinion makes me a lot better off than many. These days the internet is taken for granted and with new services such as blogger, Twitter and of course FaceBook I wonder what new challenges and opportunities I will face. Certainly this design of alibullock (V7) will probably be the last major update on the scale that it is and with the images that it contains. With flickr and smugmug making content publishing so much easier I think that content publishing will move to platforms such as these. That doesn't mean that this site will not be here, more that its role (and hopefully the time I spend knee deep in html and javascript will reduce!) I guess we'll have to see. The most important thing that this site does is show who I am and how I got here. I hope that the creative and the pages contained within do that Enjoy the site.
